Where to Eat Dinner in Hobart: Why Urban Greek Is a Local Favourite
If you’re wondering where to eat dinner in Hobart and want something memorable—not just a meal, but an experience—Urban Greek is where tradition meets flavour, and where locals and visitors alike come together over shared plates and warm hospitality.
🍷 A Local Favourite With Deep Greek Roots
Locals know that Urban Greek isn’t just about great food—it’s about how you feel when you walk in.
There’s something about the hum of conversation, the clinking of glasses, and the smell of grilled halloumi that instantly feels like home.
Whether it’s a birthday, a family reunion, or just a Tuesday night craving for spanakopita, we’re proud to be part of Hobart’s community fabric.
We’ve brought our family recipes and old-world traditions to the table—but with a modern touch. From our famous gemista (stuffed tomatoes and capsicums), to our tender lamb shoulder slow-cooked for hours, everything is made with care, authenticity, and a bit of that Greek magic.
